The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recently treated viewers to some hijinks at Kyle Richards’ weed dinner. The guests dined on delicious food infused with THC. If a guest preferred, their meal could be prepared without. Let’s just say that this dinner party was one of the most iconic in Real Housewives’ history. In the immortal words of Denise Richards, “Thank you. You’re welcome.”
If ever there was a party tailor-made for Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, it was this one. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Kyle admitted that Mauricio had a fondness for weed.
“He is not a pothead. He’s a businessman who does partake now and then and it’s legal,” Kyle told host Andy Cohen. “He doesn’t do that all the time, but he does now and then. What can I say?” Well, let’s enjoy Mauricio’s most memorable moments while high.
Mauricio’s wedding toast
During Season 9 of RHOBH, most of the cast traveled to Hawaii for the nuptials of Camille Grammer and David Meyer. The night before the ceremony, the group gathered for dinner, as seen in the start of the video above.
There, Mauricio made a speech. Sort of. After staring at people and squinting repeatedly, he raised his eyebrows at his wife. “Geez Louise,” Kyle responded.
In her confessional, she remarked, “Something seems a little off with Mauricio. I think he may be enjoying this island life and partaking in some of their offerings.”
Then came a toast that none of the guests would ever forget- except for Mauricio. “I’m … I’m very happy for them and I think it’s really nice that two people have an opportunity to have a second turn you know to be able to … and hopefully, I mean, the ultimate goal is to hopefully be with somebody until the end, right? So hopefully you know that occurs for them,” Mauricio said.
“I don’t think I’ve heard the word hopefully used more,” Dorit Kemsley commented. “Oh, did I say it often?” Mauricio asked. The dinner ended on a high note.
Mauricio’s dinner party etiquette
During Season 10, Kyle threw herself a welcome home dinner party. Denise and her husband, Aaron Phypers, attended the soiree. The RHOBH cast loves a good game, and the ladies went around the table, stating what they appreciated about each guest.
After the ladies complimented each other, Mauricio weighed in. “You are all so sweet. These are not the same girls I know!” he said with a laugh.
And when Denise didn’t eat her salmon, Mauricio asked her for it. Is that proper dinner party etiquette?
According to US Weekly, the dinner went off the rails when Aaron discussed his energy medicine practice. “I couldn’t understand why we could split an atom with sound and cause a nuclear explosion. Electron, proton, neutron, whatever. 99.9 percent is space, but it’s oscillating at a frequency that appears to be real in our reality,” Aaron stated. “Does that make sense?”
It only made sense to Mauricio, who nodded enthusiastically and agreed with him during the discussion. For a moment I wondered if Aaron was also high.
Who is Mauricio going to call?
Kyle hosted her black-and-white party at their home to benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles during Season 10. She wanted a particular blue light on in their backyard. Kyle started to panic because their guests were due to arrive. Mauricio, who was clad in a shirt and jeans, had been trying to fix the light. Finally, a frazzled Kyle asked who she should call.
“Ghostbusters!” Mauricio replied with a laugh. She tried to rush him to go and get ready for the party. Mauricio’s remarks while high are hilarious!
These parties were Mauricio’s most memorable moments while high. His chill attitude and comments made these events unforgettable. I wish that weed-loving Mauricio made more appearances like this on RHOBH.
