With over a week to go until the start of the offseason workout program, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes brought some teammates to him to get a jump on the 2024 NFL offseason.
The earliest video of the throwing session revealed Mahomes throwing with new receiver Hollywood Brown at Colleyville Heritage High School indoor facility. Brown wasn’t the only one in attendance, as this was a family affair for the pass-catchers and quarterbacks for the Chiefs. Nearly a dozen of Mahomes’ teammates have been pictured at the workout.
Heather Smith of Heather Smith Photo posted several images on her Instagram story. Mahomes can also be seen throwing to several players in a video he posted to Instagram on Thursday.

Among those in attendance are QBs Chris Oladokun and Ian Book, they were getting some work in and spelling Mahomes. Of course, Carson Wentz just signed this week, so he wasn’t yet out in Texas with Mahomes & company.
As far as the pass catchers are concerned, new Chiefs TE Irv Smith Jr., WR Anthony Miller, and WR Jacob Copeland were among those to join Hollywood Brown. Both seemed to be gelling with new teammates and getting their timing down. There was a strong veteran presence as well with WR Cornell Powell, TE Noah Gray, and WR Skyy Moore.
Two of the more intriguing players to attend the throwing session are Justyn Ross and Nikko Remigio. Ross, of course, was the training camp darling for the Chiefs in 2023, but his first real campaign with the team was a massive disappointment. He received a six-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, but even before the suspension, he failed to see much action in a struggling WR room. Can Ross put together a solid offseason that will yield him another chance?
Regarding Remigio, he should be of intrigue to the Chiefs Kingdom during the upcoming offseason. The 2023 UDFA wide receiver out of Fresno State essentially received a redshirt year, spending the entire season on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury in the twilight of the offseason. He had a strong training camp and preseason last year, and he could benefit from a weaker field of competition heading into the 2024 NFL offseason.

As for 2024 NFL draft prospects in attendance, there have been rumors swirling that Georgia TE Brock Bowers was among those present for the throwing session. A person who fits his description was spotted in the background of a video shared from the workout.
A to Z Sports has reached out to multiple sources to confirm that Bowers was in attendance. No sources have verified that he was or wasn’t there at this time.
Ahead of the 2023 NFL draft, Mahomes threw with players such as TCU WR Quentin Johnston (Chargers), Boston College WR Zay Flowers (Ravens), and eventual Chiefs draft pick, SMU WR Rashee Rice.
