Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is entering the final year of his contract and one of the teams that needs a quarterback is the Las Vegas Raiders. Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew III are the current quarterbacks for the Raiders at the moment.
With a lot of uncertainty for the Cowboys wanting to keep Prescott after this season and he is 30 years old, MitchellRenz365 posted a crazy mock trade on his Twitter page, who is a Raiders Report Host for CHATSports.
He has the Las Vegas Raiders acquiring Dak Prescott from the Dallas Cowboys. He has the Raiders trading Aidan O’Connell, a 2024 first-round pick, second-round pick, and fourth-round pick, a 2025 first-round pick and third-round pick, and a 2026 second-round pick.
Prescott a season ago completed 69.5% of his passes for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 242 yards on 55 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Dak Prescott played at an MVP level last season and that was the best season of his NFL career. He hopes to have another season like that.
The Dallas Cowboys Would 100 Percent Do This But the Las Vegas Raiders Would Be Massively Overpaying For Dak Prescott
The number of draft picks that the Cowboys would be acquiring in this trade for Prescott would be ideal. They would be able to fix a lot of things over the years. It feels like Dallas has hit their ceiling with Dak. The Raiders feel like they need a quarterback to compete now in the AFC West.
Dak Prescott is not at the level of Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs or Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers, but Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce is trying to win now with the Raiders. Prescott would have a number-one receiver in Vegas with Davante Adams like he did in Dallas with CeeDee Lamb.
Las Vegas would be silly to trade all of that draft capital for a rental unless they are willing to give him a big contract. The Dallas Cowboys do not appear to want to re-sign him at the end of the season. Getting all of that back for potentially nothing would be great for them. That would be a laughable move by the Raiders if that was ever done.
