The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei and his fiancée Kelsey Anderson are getting uber comfortable with each other, and quickly.
Joey popped the question at the end of filming Season 28 of the hit ABC dating show, which was months ago and forced the couple to keep their engagement a secret until the finale aired.
Since then, Joey and Kelsey have been taking huge steps in their relationship and sharing more details about their plans for the future, including when they plan to tie the knot and where they’ll likely end up living.
Now, it seems as if Joey feels comfortable enough around his fiancée to drastically change his appearance only days after they revealed they’re engaged during the Season 28 finale.
All across social media, Joey has been debuting a new look, black-rimmed glasses, months after fans commented on his eyes.
It marks a drastic change in appearance for the tennis pro as he was never seen wearing glasses on The Bachelor.
He was seen wearing the lenses in a snap of him posing with Kelsey’s dad.
Joey also wore the glasses in a recent TikTok where he and Kelsey addressed his cooking skills and in a clip Kelsey posted on Instagram in which the pair were out to eat with friends.
On Facebook, fans took to the comments section of a post about the couple, in which a photo featured showed Joey wearing the new lenses.
Everyone raved about them, with one person writing: “Look nice in your eyeglasses beautiful couple!”
Another added: “New glasses Joey?”
A third commented: “I like him in his glasses. We didn’t see him in them the whole season.
The change in appearance comes after some fans commented on Joey’s eyes during Season 28.
He took to TikTok to address the rise in fan concerns about his “yellow eyes” as the ABC star stared unblinking into the camera.
Joey explained: “To get some context on that, I have to go all the way back to when I was in high school. I was sick for about a week and a half and my mom thought it would be a good idea to go to the doctor.
“When I went to the doctor I had blood work done and the blood work showed that my bilirubin count was very high.”
Bilirubin is a yellowish substance that’s created as a byproduct of the body breaking down old red blood cells.
A high bilirubin count could indicate liver damage, liver disease, or be an indicator of a number of other health issues.
Joey continued: “I went and got a liver ultrasound, went to other doctors and found out that there was nothing that was necessarily wrong, like hepatitis.”
Instead, he was diagnosed with Gilbert Syndrome, a genetic hereditary disorder where slightly higher than normal levels of bilirubin build up in the blood.
The tennis coach added: “At the end of the day I am told that I am healthy, it’s something that does affect the whites of my eyes, it makes it have those jaundice levels which is why they look a little bit more yellow.
“It’s something I want to pay attention to more this year, I want to get my health right and make sure that I’m all good but I at least wanted to give some background.
“It is worse when I have stress or lack of sleep, which happens on a TV show.
“I do appreciate everyone looking out for me and wondering if I’m okay. I’m okay as I can be and I’ll continue to look at it so thank you very much.”
