Shannon Beador’s ex-husband, David Beador, is facing legal repercussions for his own traffic violations less than a year after his ex-wife got arrested for driving under the influence.
According to court records obtained by Page Six, the construction company owner was pulled over on Feb. 4 for reckless driving and speeding at greater than 100 miles per hour.
His arraignment was held on Wednesday, and he was formally charged with two misdemeanor counts.
David pleaded not guilty, and a separate pre-trial hearing was scheduled for April 9, per the records.
Page Six has reached out to him and his attorney but did not immediately hear back. Shannon’s spokesperson also did not immediately return our request.
David’s legal issues — first reported by Radar Online — come just as the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star is trying to change her life around after feeling “ashamed” when she crashed her vehicle into a home while drinking and driving.
Last September, Shannon, 60, was booked for a hit-and-run and DUI alcohol, spent some time in jail and had to pay $2,500 bail following the incident.
The Newport Beach Police Department’s animal control unit also launched an investigation against her at the time since she had her dog, Archie, inside the car during the accident.
Ahead of Shannon being formally charged and sentenced to three years probation, she enrolled in an outpatient program to help with her substance abuse issues.
“I’ve spent the last month, which I really had that amount of time, focusing on myself,” the reality star said at BravoCon in November 2023.
“I never drink and drive. I’m the Uber girl. But you know there were a lot of unhealthy things going on in my life and I did drink more alcohol.”
Shannon, who was married to David from 2000 to 2019 and shares three daughters with him, openly struggled when the demise of their marriage — including an affair — played out on “RHOC.”
After the Bravo star filed for divorce in December 2017, their legal battle turned contentious as they fought over child custody and whether the businessman was going pay any spousal support.
David even called out Shannon for her drinking at the time, alleging in court documents that her behavior was “detrimental to the children.”
He previously claimed, “I requested Mrs. Beador agree to not drinking or being drunk in front of the children and the request was denied and in fact disputed that she even stated she ‘self-medicates.’”
Shannon was then reportedly awarded $1.4 million and $10,000 a month in support in April 2019.
Since then, the exes have seemingly gotten on better terms. They reunited at a local hotspot in Orange County, Calif., called The Quiet Woman last June and posed for a selfie together.
