Monica Garcia may have been fired from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but she’s still tight with some of her co-stars.

Monica chatted with Melissa Rivers on the Group Text Podcast. She revealed Mary Cosby is the only cast member she still talks to.

After praising the controversial OG as an “incredible” person, Monica said she appreciates that Mary “checks on me as a human being.” She elaborated, saying that Mary sends her the “sweetest” messages, quotes, and “positive videos.”

When Monica was outed by her castmate, Heather Gay, as the leader of the Reality Von Tease troll account, the mother of four was alone on an island. Consequently, she withstood verbal lashings from other Housewives, including Lisa Barlow, and at the end of their cast trip to Bermuda, she was asked to leave.

Mary revealed in November 2023 that she hoped Monica would return for Season 5 of RHOSLC. She even said she had “her back” against some of the other women. Although her wish didn’t come true, she still has her friend’s back outside of the cameras.

Monica further explained that Mary’s checking in makes her “feel like someone cares about your mental state.” She continued, saying that reality stars’ mental well-being basically gets “lost in the reality space.” Additionally, she’s not the only one. Hannah Berner from Summer House has spoken out about life as a reality star, while Dan Gheesling talked about the hate he received after The Traitors.

“People forget,” Monica said. “We’re human beings [with] feelings [and] children and all these things. I’ve had some of the most disgusting stuff said about me. It’s like you forget there’s a real-life person on the other side that’s made mistakes just like you.”
