The Philadelphia Eagles will see one of their more prominent front-office members leave the team in the coming days.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Wednesday that Jake Rosenberg, who is the Eagles’ vice president of football administration, is leaving the team “when his contract expires after the NFL draft next month.”

This is a monumental loss for the Eagles’ front office as Rosenberg was seen as one of Howie Roseman’s closest advisors and helped with cap management, negotiations, player signings, and negotiations.

The Eagles have been lauded for their salary cap management and player contracts for many years, so losing Rosenberg, who has a goal of becoming a GM, will sting a little bit for Philly.

Nicole Lynn, who is the agent for Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts, said on Twitter that this is a “big loss” for the organization. However, Lynn praised Rosenberg and mentioned that he’s a future GM.

Rosenberg likely played a part in the negotiations for Hurts’ mega extension last offseason, which he signed for five years and $255 million.

Nonetheless, the Eagles will have to fill the void left by Rosenberg, but they still have Roseman who has played a huge role in the team’s success over the past five-plus years.
