Ariana Madix’s costars were taken aback by her anger toward Tom Sandoval on the April 2 episode of Vanderpump Rules. In particular, James Kennedy was shocked to see Ariana behave as she did.
For those who didn’t catch the April 2 episode, Ariana and Tom were going at it over Mya, Ariana’s dog. See, Tom managed to lock Mya in Ariana’s room, where the dog chewed on some wooden skewers from a takeout box. Mya was taken to an emergency vet, and thankfully was okay.
Still, Ariana was understandably furious. She started going off on Tom. The situation wasn’t helped when Tom decided to fire back. The whole cast got the chance to reflect on the moment sometime after the fact.
Schwartz calls Ariana’s fury “f*cking intense”
On the April 2 VPR After Show, producers wanted to hear the cast’s thoughts on Ariana reaching a tipping point with Sandoval. James said, “I’ve never seen that side of Ariana before.” Did he not watch the Season 10 reunion back? Still, it seemed James could sympathize with Ariana as he said, “That would have been too much,” seemingly referring to what Tom shouted at her.
Tom Schwartz said, “Her level of fury and rage, it was f*cking intense. I saw like, in her eyes, like, a fiery disdain for you.” Schwartz further supposed the whole ordeal wasn’t really about Mya.
James thought similarly, bringing up the passing of Ariana’s other dog, Charlotte. “Tom was sort of cheating on her when Charlotte was gone,” James recalled. “It goes so deep.”
Scheana Shay was also critical of Sandoval by saying he didn’t do anything to help her healthily process her rage. “He’s doubling down, he’s making excuses, he’s weaponizing her mental health,” Scheana listed.
For her part, Ariana simply said, “Like, whatever. Being butthurt about me being mad about that? Like, ‘kay.”
