Here’s how Southern Charm‘s Craig Conover reacted to Paige DeSorbo’s exciting update.
It’s official: Paige DeSorbo is saying goodbye to her $8,500-per-month apartment. And you best believe Craig Conover is thrilled.
The Summer House beauty shared the exciting news last week, following her months-long home search in the Big Apple. Fans got a peek at the process in Summer House Season 8, Episode 5, when Paige explained her decision to finally leave her Midtown Manhattan pad.
“I love my apartment, but I feel like something’s missing,” she said during a March 21 episode interview. “I want to involve Craig in this because I do value his opinion, and I do kind of like him. So I do want him to be excited [about] where we are living when he is here. Even though it’s my apartment, and what I say goes, and he’ll get what he gets in terms of a closet.”
Craig Conover reacts to Paige DeSorbo’s upcoming move
Well, after an extended search, Paige has found her new home.
“I actually did and I’m moving within a month,” she said during her and Craig’s recent sitdown with E! News. “And Craig has ample closet space. I mean, he’s drowning in closet space.”
Her Southern Charm boyfriend was clearly pleased with the decision: “See, we’re moving up,” he said with a smile.
Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover discuss their plans to “settle down”
Paige announced her and Craig’s relationship in the fall of 2021, roughly eight months after she moved into her current NYC unit. Since then, she and her Charleston-based beau have managed to maintain a long-distance relationship but admitted the situation hasn’t been easy.
In Summer House Season 7, Episode 9, the couple spoke candidly about their plans to finally “settle down” in South Carolina, where Craig operates his lifestyle brand.
“If you were to propose to me tomorrow it would be amazing,” Paige told her boyfriend in the April 10, 2023, episode. “But then it would immediately start the clock of, ‘When are you moving down [to Charleston]? When are you planning your wedding?’ … I would be changing my whole life. I will be changing a lot more than you will be. I have no friends in Charleston. My family [is] in New York. I don’t want to leave my mom.”
“Maybe I come to New York,” Craig responded.
Craig Conover addresses the “outside pressure” he and Paige DeSorbo face
The Southern Charm-er shed more light on the situation in the January 18 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. At one point during the broadcast, a fan asked Craig why Paige was the one who was being “pressured” to move instead of him.
“I agree, I think there’s a lot of outside pressure,” Craig responded. “I agree with that statement. I have no idea what we’re gonna do but … I think it should be equal pressure.”
