The RHOA mom shared the update years after she and the Married to Medicine newbie fell out: “Those are the types of friendships you need to cherish.”
It seems “Frick and Frack” are still going strong.
In the years following their shocking fallout, Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks agreed to bury the hatchet and repair their decade-long friendship. The two have supported each other at various functions and family events, and even exchanged kind words during their respective media appearances. But how close are they, really? Well, Porsha shed more light on their dynamic in her latest Amazon Live stream.
“It was so funny because just earlier I was talking about Phaedra Parks because we have the same makeup artist,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom said in the April 5 broadcast. “And I was just saying how similar we are — just thinking about, like, we love the same makeup, we love our hair to be the same. We’re both from the South. You know, she’s a Southern Belle, and I feel like I’m sort of a Southern Belle.”
Does Porsha Williams still speak to Phaedra Parks?
Porsha then confirmed she and the Married to Medicine mom have managed to stay in touch despite their hectic schedules; and although they don’t communicate on a daily basis, their conversations are always light and natural.
“And, yes, I definitely have texted her from time to time,” she continued. “You know, she’s very, very busy… I’m really busy. I have a lot going on in my life, she has a lot going on. But the friendship — some friendships, you don’t got to talk to somebody every day. Literally, I talked to her the other day on the phone, and you would’ve thought we talked the day before. You literally would think that. And those are the types of friendships you need to cherish. The type of people you can call and catch up with… ‘Let’s get into the kiki. Let’s get into enjoying the relationship.’”
Porsha Williams shares her expectations for RHOA Season 16
Elsewhere in the stream, Porsha addressed her big return to RHOA and what she expects for Season 16. The mother of one — who recently separated from her husband, Simon Guobadia — said she was excited to reclaim her peach and was eager to share her new life journey with fans.
“I honestly feel so excited. And it’s genuine, and I’m gonna tell you why,” she said. “Life is lifing, right? Everybody has their own experiences, and this is my experience. I just want to be as genuine — I think my fans and my supporters have followed me because I’m very transparent… I’m just excited to share my life again as a woman. I think that my story was a little incomplete when I left.”
She continued: “I’m really looking forward to what I used to miss about the show, which was that sisterhood. If you’re up, we’re celebrating you. If you’re down, we’re gonna pull you up, we’re gonna be there for you. I need a little both of that.”
