The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member’s sister is weighing in on the latest divorce headlines.
Blood is certainly thicker than water in Porsha Williams’ family.
Shortly after she confirmed that she was returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast for the upcoming 16th season, Porsha separated from her husband, Simon Guobadia.
As the couple’s split intensifies, there’s one person who is firmly in Porsha’s corner: her younger sister, Lauren Williams. Amid recent headlines about Porsha and Simon’s divorce, Lauren took to her Instagram feed on March 26 to clap back at her former brother-in-law.
As the returning peach holder’s divorce progresses, Lauren is calling the Nigerian businessman out on Instagram.
On March 26, Lauren shared a message on her Instagram feed for her sister’s estranged husband.
“You might actually get that [peach],” Lauren wrote. “You’re already leaking false stories. Smh.”
In case there was any confusion about who Lauren’s post was about, she added hashtags for “Simon Guobadia” and “RHOA” in the caption. Hours after Lauren initially shared the post, she took it down from her page.
Simon did not directly respond to Lauren’s call-out, though he has shared several posts from his recent travels to Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
“I prefer to remain focused on my journey,” he wrote in part of the caption from a carousel he posted in Saudi Arabia. In another, he noted, “Amazing what a change in scenery does for the soul,” along with a hashtag for “aging backwards.”
Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia’s Divorce News
Back on February 23, news broke that Porsha and Simon were splitting up after about 15 months of marriage.
PEOPLE was the first to report the news, and a source told the outlet that the couple’s separation was an “ongoing matter.”
Simon and Porsha tied the knot in two elaborate ceremonies in Atlanta back in November of 2022. The couple announced their engagement about a year-and-a-half earlier, and they first went public with their romance earlier in the spring in 2021.
Cut to more recently as Porsha announced her return to RHOA in February 2024 before the news of her split.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” she said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to being back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and showing the world my new world!”
Now, it’s clear that Porsha’s “new world” no longer includes Simon.
