‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ star shares twins Kai and Rio with husband Pavit Randhawa
The Real Housewives of New York City star Jessel Taank recently posted the most adorable photo of the twin sons she shares with husband Pavit Randhawa, and she couldn’t be a prouder mom.
The PR maven turned reality star, 44, shared her twins’ very first official school photo on their dedicated Instagram page. “Our first official school pic!! We look so nerdy and cute 🤓🥰” the caption – penned by their parents – read.
In the photo, Rio sat in the blue while his brother Kai stood next to him in the same sweater but in cream, arms interlocked.
“This is their first one ever; it’s so good,” the proud mom tells PEOPLE exclusively. “We can’t get them to stand still for more than 10 seconds!”
As the boys, who turn 3 in May, grow older, Taank has noted how each is developing unique physical and personality traits.
“Kai has these beautiful hazel-green eyes. He’s got light hair and I think he takes more after Pavit,” she explains. “And Rio’s got dimples to die for; I think he takes more after me – a little cheeky, a little naughty. They’re starting to play with each other more, which is a huge relief because they would just ignore each other the first two years.”
The family hit a major milestone last fall when the twins started school.
Viewers will remember that Taank and Randhawa debated pricey private schools during season 14, and they ended up selecting one just down the block.
“We have a really good routine,” Taank explains. “We drop them off to school at 8:30 a.m. The school is a block away from us so that’s really convenient. And then our nanny picks them up in the afternoon and she’ll do an activity with them.”
“They really love it,” Taank continues. “I think, with small kids, they want to constantly be entertained and be stimulated. As a parent, you can’t always do that for them. So it is really nice that they have now a space where they’re constantly being challenged. And learning and growing.”
Taank admits she’s had to adapt to a new schedule as well.
“It’s emotional for most mothers to see that kids to school,” she says. “It was also liberating because you sort of get your life back; you can focus on work, you can focus on projects, et cetera. Pavit and I were sad for like three days, and then after, we were like, ‘This is amazing, I get from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. back for myself!'”
WIth Taank – and the rest of the rebooted RHONY cast – back for season 15, it looks like there might be some more calendar juggling ahead.
“We’re gonna come back with a vengeance,” Taank teased. “It’s been a long time coming and everyone’s been patiently waiting for the announcement.”
Bravo has not announced when season 15 of The Real Housewives of New York City will air. All previous seasons can be streamed on Peacock.
