Scheana Shay has some accusations regarding a recent report on John Mayer. The singer found himself unexpectedly part of Vanderpump Rules Season 11 when Scheana implied she was in an orgy with him.

Shortly after the fact, a source came forward to speak for John, saying, “John has told several people close to him that he never hooked up with Scheana. He knows that she has been telling people they hooked up well before the Vanderpump Rules episode aired and it’s gotten back to him.”

However, Scheana was quick to question these counterclaims. She’s been making comments on John Mayer since 2009, after all. She wasn’t just going to let it go that easily.

Scheana “wouldn’t believe anything” from The Sun

During the April 5 episode of her podcast, Scheana conceded, “I mean, I’m sure John doesn’t love being a storyline on VPR.” However, she asked, “But where did he deny this?” Scheana went on to question the validity of The U.S. Sun article that reported on John’s denial of any hookup.

“Because I’m pretty sure it was the Sun who made that claim. It looks like they just made this up,” Scheana said. “There weren’t quotes from John [and] there weren’t quotes from his team.” Now, notably, Scheana is factually incorrect when she says this. There were quotes from a reported source close to John. However, she may still have a point.

Even though there were quotes from an insider, Scheana might not be entirely out of pocket in questioning the reality or validity of this source. The Sun has a bit of a track record when it comes to making things up. In Scheana’s own words, “I wouldn’t believe anything that they have to say, so there’s that.”
