When you’re facing a challenging time in your life, sometimes your focus becomes less about who did reach out to you and more about who didn’t reach out to you. When Mia Thornton announced her split from Gordon Thornton, she was hoping that the entire cast of The Real Housewives of Potomac would show her support. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

In a sneak peek of Part 2 of the RHOP Season 8 reunion, Mia shared that most of her castmates did reach out to her. Although Karen Huger was the first one who threw around accusations about Mia cheating on Gordon, even she reached out several times when she learned of the separation. However, Mia revealed that Candiace Dillard Bassett and Wendy Osefo didn’t even bother to send a text.

Mia recalled, “When I went through this, everybody on this sofa reached out to me except for Candiace and Wendy, and I thought to myself, ‘Holy sh-t. Those are not my friends.’”

Of course, Wendy and Candiace both had excuses for why they didn’t check in on their castmate. Wendy chopped it up to the fact that she was still bitter over the drink-throwing incident from Season 7. On the other hand, Candiace said she just didn’t want to be involved.

Candiace said, “I felt really uncomfortable for you. I was concerned for you. I just didn’t want to be involved.”

Mia didn’t seem too impressed with either of their excuses. As a viewer, it seems like it’s just another example of how certain segments of this cast refuse to even pretend to be friends. Either way, Mia told Candiace if the roles were reversed, she would have reached out to her. They should all strive to do better.

“This is a sisterhood, right? We want to preach that,” Mia remarked.
