Brynn Whitfield caused an unexpected stir when she said she had a thing for fellow Bravolebrity Shep Rose. The newbie had yet to make her Real Housewives of New York debut when, on Watch What Happens Live, she confessed her crush.
The Southern Charm star was entrenched in controversy at the time for cheating on Taylor Ann Green and prospective fans told Brynn to get as far away from Shep as she could. However, as Brynn put it, “It takes one commitment-phobe to know another commitment-phobe.”
Shep joked that dating Brynn wouldn’t be a good look. However, he teased that he’d see Brynn at BravoCon later that year. As it turns out, Shep tried to do more than just see Brynn.
Brynn’s encounter with a drunk Shep
During an Amazon Live, Brynn gave fans the lowdown on “the thing with Shep.” She said, “When I was on Watch What Happens Live, and I said like, ‘Oh, I think he’s super cute’ … he’s cute, he’s handsome, he’s tall, and comes from a good family. So it’s like, okay, I thought he was cute, so I tell this to Andy [Cohen]. And when I said this … everyone, like, took off.”
Later, the two were “at BravoCon, and then I think he kind of thought it was like turning into a real thing, and like, self-admittedly, he admitted he was just super drunk. As the night went on, we were in a Sprinter van with like so many other Housewives and Bravo people, and he was just like, 17 sheets – gone. I’m okay with a little ‘loosie-goosieness’, but that was like, next level.”
How unsurprising to learn that Shep behaved exactly as one might’ve expected him to. Brynn further revealed the two had not spoken since the convention in November. However, Brynn, as chaotic as ever, added, “Here’s the thing, I would hang out with him, though.”
